EDGEMEAD GOODWOOD P.P.V. FOOTBALL CLUB CODE OF CONDUCT : 2025
1. Parents / players are responsible to ensure that subscription fees for the year are fully paid by no later than the 30 April If full payment is not received, players cards will be removed and players will not be permitted to participate in training or matches, unless prior arrangements or payment plans have been made directly with the
REGISTRATIONS OFFICER.
2. Players / Parents are to know and follow all the rules and policies set forth by FIFA, SAFA, CTTFA and the
Edgemead Goodwood PPV FC. Obey the laws of the game at all times in good sportsmanship and fair play.
3. Players/ Parents to accept decisions of the officials with good grace and conduct themselves with honour and dignity. Work in the spirit of Co-operation with officials, administrators, coaches and players.
4. Ensure you set the standard for sportsmanship with opponents, referees, administrators and fellow club members. Visiting teams and spectators are guests and should be treated as such.
5. Players / Parents may not, under any circumstances, participate in any physical violence or threats on or off the field. Players may not use bad language or speak offensively to referees, teammates, coaches, opponents or spectators. This applies to both home and away games. It will not be tolerated.
6. The club & its facilities are for all members to use and enjoy. Look after it & keep it clean at all times. Do not wilfully damage any club property – including any facilities within the Clubhouse & this extends to the fields, equipment & kit.
7. Remember that you are an ambassador for the club and ensure that you uphold its values and reputation.
8. As a member, you are responsible for the behaviour and conduct of any guests / visitors that accompany you to any home and away matches as well as any other club activities.
9. As a Player / Parent or Guardian of a player, I hereby consent to the use of photographs/video recording taken during the course of the year for publicity & promotional purposes (including publications, presentation or broadcast via newspaper, internet or other media sources) in compliance with POPI Act.
10. Players to arrive timeously for both training sessions and matches. Arrive at the match venue at least 45 minutes prior to the start time, or as directed by your coach. If a player is not able to make a training session or a match please ensure you notify the coach long in advance so he can plan.
11. Please ensure that you get on to the Whatsapp group of your age at the beginning of the season to alleviate communication problems. As all correspondence will be communicated via the club group for matches, practices and any relevent information. No other private groups are allowed to be use for club communication.
12. Parents / Spectators are not permitted on the fields during training sessions and on match days. Allow the coach space and freedom to be able to do his job. It is very disruptive for both the coach and the players.
13. All Coaches appointed by the club will have to abide by club rules at all times and will be asked to step down at any time the club feels it is required to do so, for the best interests of the players and the club. Any inappropriate behavior, bad language, misconduct, etc. will result in a coach being removed from coaching.
14. The Club Management Committee has the full right at any time to intervene and make decisions for the best interest of the club and players at all times, even as a member and you don’t agree.
15. I hereby give coaches authority for my child/ren to be driven in the coaches/spectators car for transportation to and from matches being played away from our facilities if I am unable to transport my child/ren.
The aforementioned Code of Conduct is applicable to all playing members and parents of the club and their guests. The Club and Management Committee will not tolerate transgression or deviation from the above. Transgression may incur disciplinary action, and, may result in suspension or expulsion of transgressors. REMEMBER: The coaches, referees and committee members are volunteers, not paid officials and are there to do the job to the best of their abilities. Your support is very important to both coach and club.
