EDGEMEAD GOODWOOD P.P.V. FOOTBALL CLUB CODE OF CONDUCT : 2026

1. Subscriptions
All players must ensure that annual fees are fully paid by 30 April. If not paid, player cards will be removed and participation suspended unless a payment plan has been arranged with the Registrations Officer.

2. Rules & Conduct
Players and parents must follow all FIFA, SAFA, CTTLFA and Club rules, always upholding good sportsmanship and fair play.

3. Respect for Officials & Members
Accept all officials’ decisions with dignity. Treat opponents, referees, coaches, administrators, club members and visiting teams with respect.

4. Language & Behaviour
Abuse, threats, physical violence or offensive language toward anyone, on or off the field, at home or away, will not be tolerated.

5. Club Property & Facilities
Treat all club property with respect. This includes fields, equipment and the clubhouse.

6. Ambassadorship
Members represent the club and must act in a way that upholds its values and reputation.

7. Responsibility for Guests
Members are accountable for the behaviour of guests attending matches or club activities with them.

8. Media & POPI Consent
By participating, parents/guardians give permission for the use of photographs or videos for club promotional purposes in compliance with the POPI Act.

9. Attendance & Timekeeping
Players must arrive 45 minutes before matches or as instructed. Absence from training or matches must be communicated to the coach well in advance.

10. Communication
All parents/players must join the official WhatsApp group for their age group. Only official club groups may be used for communication regarding matches, practice times and other notices.

11. Field Access
Parents/spectators may not enter the field during training or matches. This ensures the coach has the space and authority to work effectively.

12. Coaches’ Conduct
Coaches must uphold club rules at all times. Misconduct, abusive behaviour or failure to meet club standards may result in removal from coaching duties.

13. Committee Authority
The Club Management Committee may intervene or make decisions at any time in the best interest of the club and its players.

14. Transport Consent
Parents/guardians give permission for their child/ren to travel with coaches or spectators to away matches if they are unable to provide transport themselves.

This Code of Conduct applies to all players, coaches, parents and guests of the club. Any transgression may lead to disciplinary action, suspension or expulsion.

REMEMBER: Our coaches, referees and committee members are volunteers who give their time and effort for the benefit of our players. Your support and cooperation are essential.
